This is where I live now...in case any one was wondering. Its a lot different than Long Island!

Hallelujah!

Soooooooo, we got a call from one of the rescue shelters we (I) applied to. It is a Lab rescue (yellow, black, and chocolate labs), and we were approved to get a dog! I guess my references (Dad, and Michelle) did a good job! Now all we have to do is wait for them to "match" us with a dog.... could be 1 week, could be 3...but at least we are getting our dog, finally!

So, clearly I'm not as good about blogging as I thought I'd be...oh well. A for effort. We still have not gotten a dog. A lot of people are really weird about letting apartment dwellers adopt a dog, which is infinitely frustrating to me because it doesnt mean I will be a crappy dog owner. You can have a huge yard, and a huge house, and be a huge a*#hole. Whatever.

I am thinking about, and looking into, joining the Air Force Reserves. They have a Photography program that I'd get paid for, plus they would pay back a chunk of my student loans. Very beginning stages, but just a thought. I would have to do Basic Training, which is crazy, but maybe cool.
